The climate control for the gps stock navi is in the actual gps, the lower part is the tape deck. Anyone?

Funny.... The climate control is controlled threw the touch screen dash, where the climate control is on a NON NAVI set up thats where the tape deck goes.

OKay allow me to explain, ^^.......

In a 2002-2003 maxima, that does not have a stock navigation.... you have your stock cd changer..... below it you have your climate controls..... as a seperate piece...

In a 2002-2003 WITH navigation.... the climate control options are controlled threw the touch screen navigation and the **** on the right of the navigation...
The area under the navigation screen (where the 2002-2003 non navi climate control goes) is where the tape player is put for the navi ones...
Free bump for noobs who don't know anything about maxima.. Let's try to keep this professional guys...

I was looking through some car documents and came across the promotional booklet that nissan put out for the 2002 maxima. It showed the nav unit and it had some really old looking maps (compared to what we have today).

Is there any way to update the maps on this unit?

I believe so, You should be able to update the cd off ebay or anywhere else that sells it. If i'm not mistaken.
