FS: 02VI stock or SSIM'd

Previous buyer backed out... so here it is up for sale again.

This UIM has the full stock elbow and shelf in place, but the VIAs power valve has been removed and stock "plate" sealed up. This achieves the same effect as the block off plate, but without being as pretty.

There are a few ways I can sell this.

$100+shipping for the UIM in it's current condition

$200+shipping for me to SSIM it and send it to you ready to install.

$100+shipping+your stock UIM (core exchange) for me to SSIM it.

If you want it SSIM'd, it will take me roughly 1 week after agreement to do the work/ship and payment will be BEFORE it goes under the knife since we all know how .orgers like to back out on deals.

Since I'll have to put in a good deal of "family time" (grumble...) during the holidays, I'd rather wait until the beginning of Jan to take on a SSIM job for your sake so the turnaround time will be good. Also, if I take on a core exchange, I fully expect an undamaged stock intake manifold without stripped bolt holes or JBwelded vacuum fittings.

I'm going to charge a flat rate of $35 for shipping as this will be awkward to box up.

Local pickup is highly encouraged, and as a bonus I can install it in my driveway or garage if raining. If it's being installed without spacers, it will be very quick as I can have a RTV gasket already dried and ready on the UIM. With spacer, you'll be at my place for about 2 hours.

I'm located about 15 minutes north of Winston-Salem, NC.

Here is a pic of the block off plate. As you can see it's just the stock plate all sealed up.

Well I just looked all through my photobucket and didn't find the pics of my last SSIM. I sold it to a local member who seemed very happy with it, though.

Basically I cut out the shelf material with a reciprocating saw, then swap to my dremel with carbide cutting bits to remove the rest of the material and for shaping. Finally, I use a sanding wheel to smooth (but not polish) and clean everything up. It's roughly 8-10 hours of labor and quite a steal on price, but I have the extra time and could use a little extra cash. When I first started doing SSIM manis, I looked at KRZ350's pics as a reference guide.

I'll update the original post with this, and please let me know if you're still interested with a different timetable in mind.
