Okay? The 00-01 will work on a 02 and the other way around...

 

The midpipes are different, you have to plug the breather holes on the 00-01 to make it work on the 02-03. The 02-03 midpipe wont work on the 00-01 because there are no attachments for the breather hoses. Your not entirely correct in assuming they are interchangeable. If they were there would only be one intake kit, not 2 motor specific types.

Both will work. Ive had a 02-03 on my 00 and I have had a Altima intake on it too. So what your saying isnt entirely true. They are interchangeable.
