WTB: 2002 Nissan Maxima Power Seat Motor (Bottom)

I need the motor that moves the driver seat forwards and backwards...also a neat trick for getting to the bolts that hold the back of the seat down since it wont move forward

Plz let me know what you have...I doubt anyone has grey leather seats nearby for a 2002 but lmk !

Thanks!

I have the motor at home...I'll get a pic later to make sure the connections are the same.

What do you mean by 'getting to the bolts that hold the back of the seat down'?

Sure post a pic, someone has offered me one in PM too for a reasonable price.

I mean, to unbolt the seat out of the car to service this motor, the front two bolts that hold the seat down are exposed because im tall and my seat is all the way back...I can remove those, but the two bolts that hold the back of the seat down are under the seat since it is all the way back...maybe I can tip it back enough with just the front ones out to service the motor....we'll see!

Hope that makes sense...

That makes perfect sense. Along the 'screw' railing that moves the seat forward/backward is a connector. The connector is held on by a 10mm, I believe, on each 'screw' rail. If you loosen the bolt from this, then you'll be able to move the seat forwards and backwards manually.

Will post a pic later, sorry got busy yesterday.

Here's a pic of the motor...but if you already have an offer i won't play Ebay.

Also is a pic of the bolt you have to loosen to move the seat forward, for reference.

Hey thank you! Great pics!

The motor I got was 2 wire instead of 4. I assume this is 2 way vs 4 way motor? Anyway...might use it if up and down will lock in place without motor, but I am still interested in purchasing the correct 4 wired 4 way motor.

Let me know if anyones got it !

a thought...this is going to make me pull my carpet and detail eveything

a second though...I hit a rock and put a good side star in my windshield today. I am super pissed off, its low, but I can't leave her like that. No glass coverage. Had eyebrow. Grrrrr

if you look in the recalls, and TSB sections there is a technical Service Bulletin for this. mine is doing the same thing, wont go forwards OR backwards. Have yet to go to the Stealership and have this checked out.

I saw it was TSB'd. Though i just read a thread on here about how TSBs aren't recalls.

I don't believe the dealer will do anything but look at the TSB and replace the motor and charge ya....like $600 is what some people were saying.

I've had mine out...and while it is a pain, it's completely doable. Another guy says some contacts get bent...I bent mine back of course the motor was working when I had it out. After bending and reinstalling it worked for a bit and still quit.

My forward / backwards switch used to stick, I'm 6'6" so I always put the seat all the way back anyway and therefore I wouldn't notice the stuck switch. I discovered this when my battery kept dying and I touched the motor by accident poking around only to burn the **** out of my hand! SO I am assuming mines had excessive wear even with their defects. If im taking it apart again, im putting a part in there so atleast I can feel like I did something to fix it!!
