Got me a 2000 Max couple weeks ago to replace my stolen 97. I took it to mechanic to do BADLY needed quick oil change this week then was warned about all 4 tires are shot (also different sizes!?) One was so bad thread showing!! (I was driving it like 400+ miles on it freeway speed, yikes!!!) Got me excellent condition used Michelin x 4 but now tie guy told me I need to find good used front struts WITH springs (oem) off junked max (he told me don't spend more than $75 ea) because it has cheapo lowering tricks with spring ties done to it & if I keep riding like that, it will ruin my Michelins & he can't even do proper alignment

Being a noob, I don't know much things like this. Would your springs + struts work properly on my 2000 Max? It has 17" stock wheels, now with 225-50-R17 Michelins....
