Anyone selling a 6 speed shift ****? The one on the max I just picked up is pretty beat up.

 

If you don't find one, recovering is an option. I used , and some 3M super 77. The grain smooths out when you stretch it.
There is a screw in the bottom that attaches the plastic insert in the center. It also has a dove tail kind of attachment on the lower part. Remove the screw, stand it up, and lift the insert straight up.

Sand and paint the flat plastic surface with whatever, then fill the numbers with latex paint so you can wipe it of surrounding areas with a wet rag.
Cheaper than new ($130)
