Lug nut help needed

I just got racinghart C3's. When i got my rims they sent the wrong size lugnuts, so I went to discount tire and bought lug nuts. I could not tighten them all the way because the socket would not fit. The hole were the socket goes is very small, so I shaved down the sides of my socket to fit. It still does not fit in with out a little of force, and sometimes the socket will get stuck. The company were I ordered them from sent me the correct lug nuts (thats what he said), they are the same size as the ones I bought from discount tire. Does anybody have these rims that know what lug nuts will fit correctly. Would apreciate the help, thanks

Have you tried using a thin walled socket, or did you just use a regular socket and grinded it down, if so goto Sears and pick yourself up a thin walled socket and you should be set.

Sup CO2k....... look on the lugs and see if they say 1.25 and not 1.50 and the hex-key size should be 13/16".

Yes.... looks like the pic but some lugs come with an open end which need the hex-key mine has M12x1.25 stamped on the lug the 1.50 they gave me at first didn't match the threads. Still waiting for Mcgard to come out with a set of good wheel locks.
