How to Adjust Sunroof Stop??

We absolutely love our 2002 GLE, but have noticed a problem. At any speed over 40 MPH you can hear air leaking at the rear of the closed sunroof. If you tap the tilt feature a couple of times, the leak goes away. Seems like the stop for the slide feature does not push the sunroof back to the flush position. Have not noticed any water leaks, but want to get this resolved before that happens!!!

Anybody have a clue how to tweak this adjustment?

PS: I have gone to the dealer and they did not see (or hear) a problem.

Thank you.

is it

binding at the front? you would be able to see the gasket deformed. Do you have a wind defector? are the mounts flush against the front of the opening (ie, not protruding and binding the sunroof)

Does not seem to be binding in the front. I do use a wind deflector, but had removed it to see if it were the cause....it does not seem related.

The gaskets all look good with no deformatations.

The rear of the glass needs to go up about a quarter inch or so. A couple quick taps on the tilt-up button straightens things out.

Thank you.

I have just purchased my first ever Nissan; it is a 2003 black Maxima SE with titanium trim.

The ride is excellent and the look awsome.

However, I have noticed the same problem: the sun roof is rather noisy at highway speed.

The service folks at the dealership do not appear to have any definite answer.

Did you ever get yours fixed?
