It's funny....

I don't have any door dings on my car 99, but hubbies 01 AE is like a door ding magnet. He even got a ding with parked in the much bigger handicap space. He usually parks further out or next to expensive cars, while I will find the closest space possible.

it's luck....just sometimes u thought u have enough space and turned out that a little kid opens the door of the car parked next to ya all the way into your maxima.

few things I checked before I park
1.no vans, SUVs, trucks
2.no baby seats sighted in the car
3.park at the end of the row....so u only get ding from one side.
4.park between small cars

You forgot a few:

1. park at least 400m from where you have to go
2. park sideways like a jacka$s (no dont, just kidding!)
3. park on corner spots, ie, next to grass or somethin

I use all the tricks and am frequently ridiculed for my obsessiveness (is that a word?). Somehow I still managed to get a door ding that dented the door-protection strip first and then proceeded to dent the actual door. It's like a great honkin' zit that just won't go away. People keep telling me that the more you worry about something happening the more likely it is to occur...

Same here. Today I parked as usual leaving about 10 spaces on each side of me. Well as I'm walking away this idiot comes and parks right next to me only leaving about 12 inches between the 2 cars. It was all I could do to keep from walking over and sticking my foot up his..... Well, instead I just got in my car before he got out and moved down a few more spaces. He looked at me kinda crazy. Some people just have no respect.

Man that ****es me off. I always park somewhere at the end of the parking lot by myself and half the time I come out and some idiot has picked the spot right next to mine out of all the empty spots in the parking lot.

It makes me think maybe they want to park next to a nice car hoping I'm going to be careful when I open my door.. I know if there are no good spots I usually try to pick a BWM/MB/Audi etc to park to. You have to hope they care more about their cars than Mrs. Housewife and her wild pack of kids in her 92 Astrovan.
