Mustang owner went to work swearing

Was sitting at a light this morning waiting for the green, when a new Silver GT pulled up next to me. No sooner than I flipped on the N2O did and the light turned green.

As I looked up, he floored it and starting his screeching movement forward. Anxious to not loose my first vs. GT race, I hit the gas harder than usual and got a butt-load of spin. When I finally grabbed pavement, my bumper was on his front wheel. Through 1st, I caught him and we were neck and neck into second, when he braked hard. He quicly crossed over 2 lanes, behind me of course, to turn off at the next exit.

He obviously thought he could pull up to the family truckster (complete w/ empty child seat), and shoot past me to get over and take his exit. I "almost" felt bad popping his pony bubble.

I guess a tie is a win.

Maybe not a win; but I definetly served up a nice hot dish of "Surprise! Be careful which Max you pick on."

All to often...

It happens so often, someone thinks they can whip by you and get in front only to take the next exit or side street. So many times I've thought people want to race me, but really just want to get to the exit a little faster...

If anything they get there slower because they have to brake hard, pull behind me and take the exit!

[When they hear my Injen CAI roar, they know it's usually a lost cause to try to pursue getting in front anymore!]

As far as the new GT's go, it's everything I'm working towards. When I get to the point where I can consistently beat them on the street and in the 1/4 mile I will move on to cosmetic mods.

Problem is having an automagic isn't quite helping me!

Believe me, I know you're pain, brother.

I'm still waiting on my VB mod, (Don @ Mobiletek has been putting me off for months), so I don't blow up my tranny and I can get past that long drawn out shift.

I wish I'd never bought an auto; I had to take the massive plunge to nitrous just to get some torque and power to the ground. Atleast you have a head start on me, with 2K2 coming stock w/ more HP.
