Well I took the Max in for the slipping tranny and guess what?.....yep another tranny. They also found bad noises out of it in reverse.

This tranny lasted only 10k before it went south. By the way I seem to have a great experience with Nissan service but I am tired of always being there. Anybody else on there third tranny?

 

Are you sure you don't have a TL? j/k, that sucks hopefully they'll get it right this next time. I thought I read somewhere if after 3 times they can't fix a given problem, you can make them take it back under lemon laws. Not sure though. Good luck on this next one.

 

I AM! Went to the the dealer, yesterday. My dad explained how can a tranny go bad after 21k miles (we had to replace a tranny before when the car had 45k miles, the car currently has 67k on it)... the guy from the showroom agreed, he called the service advisor and asked why this was.. the service advisor tried to say my car was heavily modified.. i laffed and was like ok, all i have is an intake. They checked my car and saw there was only a K&N Air Filter. My dad had already told them how he called NISSAN CA and that they are giving him $1,000 dollars towards the new tranny and my local dealer is picking up the rest of the tab, because the guy from the showroom looked up our records and saw my dad was a loyal NISSAN customer for 10 years... and that DOES COUNT for something, Id say my dad was victorious. Might get the 2K3 TE gotta see if i can sweet talk my dad into it

PS- The dealer jocks my max pretty hard with the STILLEN Kit, and custom painted tails!

 

Ya I am sick of it already! I hope this is the last one but now I don't have any faith in the tranny.
