HI im new to the fourm i just got my 2002 se last weekend and was wondering if any one knew what that little black piece is under the gas pedal does it keep you from pressing the pedal down all the way and is there a benifit in taking it off?

Don't do it. It will affect the electronic throttle control system. Check the 2002 Maxima Accelerator Pedal Stop recall info.

 

ya.... u will be able to accelerate twice as fast.... 0-60 in 3 sec... bring on the lambos..

And if you cut out the floor board, that will extend the travel of the pedal. Can you say 0-100 in 3 sec?
