I was at the dealer today, and I thought I'd ask about what I'd pay for a '02 Blue SE with leather and Bose. The sticker was $30k. I know some folks have gotten some great deals. What does everything think would be a good deal, considering they have to get rid of the '02.

 

If it has leather then look to pay in the area of $25K. Ask to see the invoice.

 

Also, alot has to do with geographic area, dealer 'attitude', and often the tranny. If it is a six speed in certain areas, they know they can sell it fast...in other areas, autos go more quickly...

 

Look at the invoice, then start your bargaining $200 below, then ask for your $1000 rebate as well!! Sticker on my ride was $31,650, I paid $27,500.

I assume that doesn't include Bose and Meridian Package, right?

 

Meridian, leather, Bose, 6-speed, floor mats, sun roof wind deflector... everything but Nav (I'd rather get lost than spend $2k for it).

There is no reason to spend $30k on a 2k2 when the 2003 are in the showrooms.

I got an SE with nothing but floor mats and mud guards for $21.5k. My mom got a loaded GLS for $27k. Both after the 1K back from factory.


That was some time ago too, I suspect they are at least that cheap if not lower! Although they are starting to run the maxima commercials again (here at least). So maybe they will invoke interest and keep prices up some.

Always work from invoice, not sticker. And bring a folder full of papers, show them you did your homework, and you want a deal that will make everyone happy.

 

I paid 27.5K for everything but Nav on a 2k2 SE back in Feb. I imagine one could get the same for about $1000, less now that the 03's are available.

 

My Sticker was abit higher , Traction control and Meridian, which I think you didnt have , right NY ??

I got it for 29K ....This was in Feb, when they were not negotiating as much as they are now... I also have Navi, like NY.. that alone is 2K, and well worth it !
