Looking for advise on how I can obtain information on how many 2001, 20th Anniversary SE's were produced. Contacted Maxima's web site and they said to try here.

 

Good luck. I have tried several times over the past year to find this, from this site to the Nissan customer service area (I know, I know, 'Nissan' and 'customer service' are often contradictory).

If you find something, I for one would like to know as well.

You would think a manufacturer would have this information somewhere.

 

The generally accepted number has been 10,000. That was after numerous posts on the topic here on .org. Of course, that may just be us with our thumbs in places they shouldn't be, making up numbers...but that's what I go with.

Try emailing Nissan North America with the question. Submit it on nissandriven.com. You'll probably get an answer eventually. While you're at it, request a color matrix and the number of 5-speeds vs. auto's.

 

I bet they made every one they had an order for. I never read anywhere that the car was made in limited quantities.

Just for kicks I emailed the Product Public Relations folks at Nissan NA and requested a product matrix for the Maxima. We'll see what I come up with.

 

Tell them that you are a stock holder!

When I first wanted to sell my 95 and get a 5 gen the dealer that I went to had a little two page write-up from Nissan about the AE. In this write-up, if I don't remember any thing else I do recall that only 10,000 of the 2001 AE was going to be produce for sale in North America. Now how much was made I'm not sure but I am sure only 10,000 made it to these shores.
