I Am Pi$$ed!!!!!!! (UPDATE)

Back to the dealership now as my 3rd tranny is slipping BAD from 1st to second!

UPDATE!

I drove the service manager in it and he sees the problem but can't justify it enough to change to a NEW tranny. He said he will back me 100% when I call Nissan direct for a NEW tranny.

At this point it raises about 400 rpm between 1st to second and has a long a$$ delay in the shift, then it slowly slides into gear.

I am so pi$$ed about this $h!t! Wish me luck when I call Nissan on Monday.

Well these are Nissan remanufactered trannies. The first one had metal shavings in it from the slipping TSB. Then the second one ran perfect till the pressures dropped and it took a while to get into gear (put in drive hit the gas and nothing). Now the third one is good but the 1st to second shift. I can take off from a light accelerate moderately and the 1st to second shift raises rpm about 400rpm then slides onto gear. Very slow shift, very sloppy, and the revs raise about 400rpm like it free-wheels and slips into second.

The new tranny has about 800 miles on it and should be firmed up by now.

Any suggestions????

If they screw it up again, maybe you should look around your area for a new dealer and try there.

did they also replaced the TCM (tranny control module) when a new tranny is insatlled? the infamous 2k/2k1 slippage problem is not in the tranny...but the TCM.

Hey Patrick I'll say hello next time. I will be in the pewter Camaro but maybe I'll run the Max for kicks.

I am going down to Nissan right now (Desert) and trying to get a brand new tranny. They have no probs with my intake so that saves me some work. Wish me luck.

OK just got back.....

The tranny has been shifting a little quicker but is still bad. The Service manager over at Desert is cool and will back my complaint to Nissan. I am going to give it a couple hundred more miles then if it is not better try my best for a (new) tranny.

Did I ever tell you I love auto trannies?

My tranny has been slipping since day one, it is not critical, but compared to my ex 98 SE auto, the tranny on the 98 was no contest with the 2K1. Nissan wont do nothing about it, I'm tired of fighting with the dealer, I will have my tranny rebuilt at Level 10, I will pay for it and hopefully send Nissan a crap letter about it.

Cheers

Stupid question, what does it mean exactly when an auto tranny is slipping? I'm too lazy to search, enlighten me.
