valve cover on AE

ive got 15k miles on my max and it wasnt until recently that i decided my engine could use a little brightening up. i started off with a rag nd before i even got anywhere i lifted up the ae engine cover and saw that there was no valve cover. correct me if im wrong but even though it has the engine cover shouldnt it have the red stripped valve cover that you see on just about any 4th or 5th gen max. i bought mine brand new but i never noticed this til the other day. do the ae not come with this or did my dealer need an extra one for their parts dept?

Ahh...mnnnn... trust me, you do have a valve

cover otherwise..ehhh...suffice to say you would know if you did'nt since there would be....ahh...oil everywhere, you would have been ticketed by any cop that saw you plus he engine would have hand-grenaded by now. Actually, it would have hand-grenaded about 5 minutes after you started driving it -if you could drive for five minutes at all without slip-sliding off the road...

Trust me, okay?

The only way the AE cover will fit is by taking off the red stripe valve cover. I know because interested in AE cover for my 2k max...If you not satisfied with your I wouldn't mind for a trade

i trust you, its just that i lifted it up and its not the red stripped cover that i see on every max. maybe since they put a cover on it, they just used a generic cover and thats why it looked like there wasnt one. sorry to sound like such a newbie but it was just surprising not to see it.
