K&N filter...filter!

I tried a search, but no luck. I was at th track last week and saw a guy who had a filter for his filter.. It was just a piece of cloth of some kind wrapped around his K&N filter. It looked like it was tied around the back of the filter (near the 3" tube)to make a seal of sorts... Anyway, was this a homemade thing? I want to get it becuase it will keep the larger stuff from getting stuck, and possibly some of the smaller too!

That's a K&N prewarp. I was thinking about adding those to the "new" website.

PS- See any Monsterflows out at the track

It's some sort of extra protection for extreme dust conditions.
Try a serch on the fourm on k&n velocity stack there is a site listed with K&N products or try K&N's site.

That dude killed his airflow by 10%. You won't see me buying one of those unless there is some sort of apocolyptic sandstorm coming my way.

where did you get the grill/valence for an 02? cost? ease of install? do they "replace" or are they "tied" on, clipped on, etc?

He should have just bought a foam filter that will do the job right the first time. The link is to pictures of how the different types of filters worked on a test bench.
