What do you do during the winter months?
WAX or no wax?

If it is below 45 degrees, I don't wax. Wax gets tougher to buff off as the temps get lower. Plus, if you leave it on for too long in the cold, that could be trouble.

You could. . .

I don't see any harm in it, so long as your car is really clean when you apply the wax. During my winter breaks, I'm back at home in Idaho, and I make sure that it's not freezing out, since I need to wash the car first and not freeze myself in the process. Then I pull it into the warm garage, dry it off, and get the waxing done.

If you do the waxing outside, I don't know what to tell you, as it might be too cold. I personally would just wait a few months for the weather to warm up and then apply the wax. I normally give my car a couple coats of wax in October or November before it gets too cold, so I don't need to worry about doing during the cold winter months.

I do, but I live in Bay Area so that's another story... no snow, just rain, consistent temps.

The trick is to get a good coat on before the freezing weather comes. A nice coat of wax should get you through a moderate winter before you will need to reapply.

I agree...

good coat or two before the weather turns foul...But if a warm day sneaks in, I take advantage of it!
