Hi everyone. I recently test drove the 2001 AE Edition Nissan Maxima SE and loved it. However, I did not love the leather seats which cost over 1000. What can I expect to pay for custom leather seats, front and back? What do you guys think about the leather seats? I absolutely hate them. The Infinity I30 leather seats are way better than the Max's.

I got mine custom, they are better than the factory ones, I had them change the design, I don't like the line down the middle of the seat, I got them with a wrinkled look sort of like the Lexus and Acura, plus you choose the color, I paid $1300.00 for mine, that's including an additional recaro seat that they did in matching leather also, so everything matches. expect to pay $900-1000 for good leather.

 

well i haven't seen the maxima ae yet, but i have a fully loaded se w/ leather and it has got to be some of the nicest leather i have seen in a car...of course its not as good as a bimmer or mercedes, but it is close...i used to drive an eddie bauer edition expedition w/ the eddie bauer leather and the max's leather is a lot better...i've seen all the other cars they always test the max against (accord, camry, etc. etc.) and the max has by far the best and most comftorble interior...i'm not sure if the ae is different...when i was first looking at maximas, they said i could get one w/ fabric and expect to pay roughly $1200-2000 extra to get the entire thing in leather (but i wanted side airbags and thats something you can't really find w/o leather)...just my 2 cents

hey maxx-s-ter.. what kind of body kit do you have on it? is that a stillen? doesnt really look like all the others ive seen... the 2001 AE comes with perforated leather seats... if you dont like them i would be more than happy trading my SE leather seats for ur AE seats... lemme know what u think... i got frost interior so make sure u get that

 

They would run you between $700-$1500 depending on the style, quality, and any other minor details you would want.
