Diptichstick question

Diptichstick question

How much oil does the difference between min and max on the dipstick represent? Changed the oil at 4k mi and it was down to about 1/2 way between the 2 points before the change, but was at max when the oil was changed the previous time. Not really concerned because it could be a measurment error on my part because of that $hitty dipstick

I've always thought the diff between min and max on the dipschtick was 1 quart.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe it's one quart.

Damn, I am impressed you can read the damn thing that accurately. Most of the time mine just looks like oil is splashed all over it. Checking oil is reduced to "Yep looks like there is oil in there..." Still haven't quite got the knack for getting an accurate reading. It takes me many tries. Good think I change it regularly.
