Good write up and pics! Did you really feel the difference after you left your driveway. I thought the difference is very subtle. Just less body roll.

yeah, as soon as i left my driveway i found the car was alot tighter then it was before install. also, when making turns at high speeds it keeps the car from flexing as some would say. it does work despite what some say. i love the new feel.

Thanks. Any clearance problems? I have heard that the generic FSTB can rub the intake manifold.

I installed my generic FSTB this week. It barely clears the manifold and you can adjust it on the right side alittle so that it raises the center of the bar just a few tenths of an inch. The car does feel tighter and there is alittle less body roll. I think it was worth the $55 I paid but I don't know if I would pay $200. IMHO

my stillen rubs the headliner, not the manifold, a little.

be careful some have reported blocking the winshield wiperfluid hoses.

i pretty much tightened the three bolts as tight as i could. I believe it to be 20lbs of torque. I havent had any clearance problems at all. The only thing i heard was that it pinched the windshield wiper spray on the drivers side but in my case it was fine.

you should really use a torque wrench and tighten between 35 and 40 lbs. i read that over tightening may cause damage to the strut mounts..

You should tigthen them 30 pounds +2/-2. I just installed mine few days ago took like 15 minutes. If you tigthened them as hard as your could, then you probably hit the 35-40 lb range which would be too much. Thanks.
