So, What does everyone know about the new 2003 Maxima? I read somewhere that they are gonna do something new with the 2003 model Maxima. Supposedly they will be coming from a plant in Smyrna in the future.

I heard rumors of a 3.5L 265HP engine... but nobody knows for sure... The following year, they're supposedly going to change the Maxima body..

If this is in fact true.. the 2003 Maxima will be THE CAR TO BUY!! (265 HP, with almost the same weight!!)

2004 --> More HP + Body Change = Nissan CodeTalk for HEAVIER CAR!!!

My 1st. minor problem with car...

happened today...I was driving down a street that has a slight decline to it. Took my feet off the gas to ease the speed, then press the accelerator slighty and my RPM levels along with engine started to skip...I did it again...and IT DID IT AGAIN!!! hhhmmmm.
Anyone experience any unsteady idiling/aceleration under 2000RPM's!!

Not sure if it's the gas...but I do use STP gas treatment on every fillup of premium gas!!

Re: My 1st. minor problem with car...

U sure this isn't in some way related to the "Fuel cut problem?"

I had a similar experience last week, but eventually figured out that it was because I wore Dress Shoes... (first time in the Maxima).. They had really hard soles, and my silky smooth accelerations were really sub-par for the first 15 minutes of the trip... I drove back home barefoot, and that seems to have fixed the prob!!! Also, check your floor mat, cuz I've noticed that the angle at which your foot meets the floor matters.. I know this sounds silly, and prolly won't solve your prob.., but it was driving me nuts. and I would've never guessed it was my shoes, until I took them off!!!

Sometimes the simple solutions are the ones we overlook...
