Those with a Magnet Bra

Those with a Magnet Bra
Just curious if anyone has a line (paint fade) accross the hood where the edge of the bra sits. It doesn't extend the whole width of the hood, but there is a line that i believe can be buffed out about half way across. I've waxed the hood before putting it on every time after washing, but to my surprise it was there. I haven't buffed it out yet, but just curious if anyone else has had this happen.

SupaFly,
I don't know if this is what you were referring to, but I just noticed today that the clearcoat under the Magnet Bra seems to be clouded. It's been raining on and off during the last two weeks. I noticed some water made it under the bra but I did not removed it or anything. I wonder if the moisture caused the cloudiness.
It's that what you were referring to? I used 3M's Swirl Mark Remover on it and it removed some of the cloudiness, but not all.
Man, it sucks.

In general
I learned this the hard way. In Florida where it rains daily, moisture + bra = Bad for paint. I was a good kid and tried to take off my bra and allow it to breath, but sometimes I forgot - or was too busy. Well, that was my first real car and my first real lesson in pain. Over time, slowly that car's clear coat and paint was totally f*'ed.
Fast forward to my Max. I take that bra OFF everyday. The bra's on maybe 8 hours tops and only when I'm doing highway driving. BUT I still have lines. Why? Well, highway = fast = Lots of wind to rub the bra against the car.
So if you use a bra to keep off the bugs, rocks and crap from the street, you Shall get clouded clear coat and that's that! Oh well.

it's irreversibly bad...
especially with the old black bras and/or covering repainted areas.... to avoid the cloud effect try putting on the clear bra/3M paint protection film, it's like putting tint ON your car(permanent seal, and contains UV inhibitor to let the paint fade at the same rate as the non-filmed area). The stuff is THICKER than tint and have went through thorough testing. Read the 'Testimonials' at www.se-ex.com
