so the explanation begins...i was parked, i pulled out of the spot, no cars behind me. imagine 3 lanes...1 and 2 are driving, 3 is parking. i'm on 3, going into 2, person in lane 1 was changing lanes into lane 2...my car was about 3/4's out and smack, the focker hit me. it was a company van (Ford E250). his right side middle makes love to my front.
i've been drving most of hte day and nite and allignment thank god was not affected. it seems mostly cosmetic. one of the crimple zones is bent a tad, other than that, everything seems lined up. on bumps, it rubs obviously, no fram damage, radioator, yada yada. i really can't do much but wait. monday it gets dropped of for it's surgery. friday i pick her up from the shop.

i am only happy about one thing, which is hardly anything, my front end is getting a nice new paint job so i won't have to live with crappy nissan paint. good quality ppg. should match perfectly, since it's mostly pieces that have to be painted.

Sorry....but

Ninja front or Stillen lip?

It might be a good time to buy them if the body shop is willing to order/paint them.

BTW, if you can get your broken headlamp pieces, you might get the burner/ballast for parts.

Good luck!

Dude, I'm sorry about your car but read again what I said. I didn't say you got a ticket, I wished you not to get one.

i know, and i'm asking...where in there would i deserve to get a ticket...i did nothing wrong....in a way we're both at fault, entering lanes at the same time.

Did the other driver admit any fault? If there's no police report, it may not be easy to prove your story. Business insurance companies can be a PITA to deal with.

Re: Dude.

newport in sunnyside.....authorized state farm body shop and authorized adjustor, so i walked in, and he had me written up and ordered within half hour. i got into the accident at 1:30, went to his shop at 3, was out by 3:30...hood has to be resprayed and only straightened, something about that bothers me cause i just dont' like the sound of a piece getting straightened, that sh*t never comes out straight. all i said to him was "i dont' care what you do, i want my car back BRAND NEW, let's hope he does the job, i've seen some of the miracles he's pulled off on a 99 max and a 99 galant. both were 70+ mph head on collisions, car came back lookin like new.
very highly recommened, though i won't give my final approval till i get my car back.
