Y pipe quesiton (nut quesiton)

I put the factory Y-pipe back on a few months ago due to the Cattman flex section problem.

Today, i went under the car and looked around, and noticed that the nuts on the front part of the y-pipe, (the part that attaches to the front exhaust manifold),

anyway, I noticed that the 3 nuts on there are rectangular. Is this normal? I thought the nuts were supposed to be Hexagonal.

The weird thing is that the 3 nuts on the rear exhaust manifold are hexagonal.

Also, i found out that on the rear exhaust manifold, the shop only tightend two nuts. The other nut is just hanging on near the top of the stud. The fockers left it like that cause there is barely any room in there to squeeze a socket through.

I'm suspecting maybe the shop lost the regualar hexagonal nuts and therefore used rectangular nuts.

By the way, my Max is a 00 Cali spec.

Any ideas?

you might want to buy the bolts from Nissan... those bolts are heat tempered so they can take the heat... i've heard of non tempered bolts heating up expanding and falling off, possibly causing the stud to strip.. and that aint fun!

and yea its preobably VERY likely that the shop lost the bolts ahhaha so my recommendation is pick em up from the dealer and bolt it back on
