brake pad size

Can anyone confirm that the 02SE brakes use the same size pads as the 00 or 01? After reading the C&D article on pads I'd like to get new pads. None of the online websites I find show "support" for the 02 year. Thanks.

Brake Pads Part #'s:

Brake pads for the Maximas are as follows:
Front:
2000-2002 (all) FMSI# D526
Rear:
2000 FMSI# D540
2001 FMSI# D540 or D900

These correspond to Hawk and Performance Friction Part #'s as follows:
D815 -> HB 268
D815 -> PFC 526
D540 -> Not Available

Hope that helps,

Best Regards,
Edwin Robinson.

just to clarify this thread

in case anybody stumbles upon it later in a search. I believe Edwin meant to say that the Fronts for 00-02 use FMSI# D815 and can be replaced with HB 268 or PFC 526. Apparently the rear's are not available in either manufacturer.

That's correct -
The HB 268 and the PFC 526 are both FMSI #D815.
Same shape and size pads.

Neither Hawk or PFC make the rear pads currently...
I think some came with drum brakes didn't they?
