Remove plastic from rear window pillars?

I'm trying to take out the carpeted portion of the rear deck. Taken the seat out, and got the pins in the trunk. However, it's still stuck somewhere all the way in the back, and definitely on the sides. The sides seem to be under that plastic part that's on the rear pillars. What's the best way of getting those parts off? or better yet getting out that rear carpeted piece!? Thanks.

For that rear pillar plastic, it is just clipped on. Has three metal clips and two plastic ones.

Just pull. If you break something, it will most likely be the plastic clips since they are crap.

I see some kind of clip or something..but it's towards the bottom. It's like a blue thing, sort of in a groove of sorts. Other than that, I don't see any clips?

Also, I want to remove that back carpeted deck, so I can get to that metal and dynamat the living @#%^& out of it!!

I looked in the service manual and for sure that pillar plastic is only held by clips. Just pull out on it and then up.

Thanks, I appreciate you doing that!! Actually stuffed so much foam in that sucker that it doesn't go all the way down now! Oh well, at least it's not moving now! Sounds 500x better, except I think I lost about a quarter of the sound. Fine by me if I don't have to hear that "rattle" "rattle"
