Moms car won't start
 

when i try to start my moms 2001 max all i get is a vaccum sound ... i checked the manual and i didn't get anything ...... has anyone experienced this problem

Can you describe in more detail this "vacuum sound"? Do the lights come on, is there gas in the tank?

full tank of gas .... everything works except when i turn the key there is a vaccum sound and the engine doesn't turn over

Try depressing the brake, moving the gear shift from park to drive then back to park, take the key out, put the key back in, put your foot on the brake, and try starting it.

Vacum sound might be the fuel pump coming on.

Just move the shifter a lil bit and it will start.:D

You need to use a different description as vacuum sound is not enough. One thought is that your starter is failing (sound is the starter spinning but not engaging engine).
