Engine stalls after intake installed

I have just installed Berk Intake and have started the car. The engine stalled, and I have restarted it, and so on, a few times. Then I decided to give it a test-drive...Idle speed seems a bit lower than it was, but the engine doesnt stall even with A/C on. Does anyone have an explanation?

Check the vacuum hose that connects to the piping. Then also make sure your MAF sensor wire is plugged in and everything is good.

everything seems in order. Do you think it could be the ECU "adjusting" to the new air filter?

No I don't think its the computer. Like Dixit said just check your MAF sensor or anything before or after it that maybe leaking too much air into the intake system.

Kon,
Did you follow the instructions that were included in the box I sent you? Also, make sure all the bolts are tight also make sure everything is tight above the MAF, the o-ring and stuff. Make sure all that is fine and you should be ok. My idle was fine on my 2k with "that" intake. Give us more feedback!!!

Dido. My friend installed an intake in his GSR and had the same problem. turns out he forgot to plug in one of the sensors. Now his CHECK ENGINE light stays on all the time but it runs good. I wouldn't be too concerned about this. Just check your work.

Everything was done right the 1st time. I talked to one guy and his 97 Altima did the same thing. After a short test-drive the idle has stabilized and knock on wood, I have no problems. Since I had disconnected the battery during the install, it seems that ECU really had to "get used" to a different airflow pattern.
