Underdrive pulley question

I got and underdrive pulley that has been sitting in my trunk for awhile now. Need money to install it. I have a couple of questions about it though. How much would labor cost for this and is it worth it as far as the HP gain. Also I know that yesterday there was a thread about someone having trouble with it and that's something I don't want to go through. ANy of you guys got it installed in your cars let me know if it was worth it.

The reason why the other org member was having problems is because the wrong pulley was installed. On a 2K-2K1 there is a timing ring that is needed. On a 2K2 there isn't. The one that he installed didn't have a timing ring and he was a 2K1.. The cost should be around $80. Thats not including the belts which are like about another $20 or soo.. Depends if you get generic one or not, gates are more expensive..

I got it installed two weeks ago and everything is great. There is less of a lag when I floor it. I'm an auto.. You feel more power through the rpm band too.. If you do a search for UDP you'll find a zillion posts..

The improvements from the UDP are rather subtle, which is why many people will say it should be one of the last power mods to do. I noticed the power increase so I thought it was worth it.

As long as your installer does a good job and your UDP is in good condition and the right part, you should not have any problems.

It was me. Make sure your pulley has the silver timing ring and that the 4 bolts are tightened up very well. I am going to reattempt installation when they send me the right one.

Yeah the UDP was my last mod too.. I've done pretty much everything else except for a turbo or sc You won't feel a huge difference with the UDP but you know it's there...
