edit #2... it says on nissan site that drilled metal pedals "Available with helical limited-slip differential option. Requires manual transmission. Late availability"

I don't think you can "see" it. Correct me if I am wrong, but as fasr as I know HLSD is a part of the tranny. If the car has drilled pedals - it has HLSD. As far as late availability goes, that must be an old message in there and they forgot to take it off. It has been available since about February.

It it HLSD (thus the pedals) were late availability when 2k2s first came out.

One other way (and the best) to verify that the car has the HLSD. Aside from the pedals look under the hood. There is a small silver plaque that Nissan puts on every car. It will show the VIN, the engine code, the axle code and the transmission code. The Engine code will look like "VQ35(DE)" and the trans code will be "RS6F51H". If it says "RS6F51A" then you're looking at the wrong car.

The obvious thing, since you can't see the HLSD without disassembling the transaxle, is to look at the window sticker!

when my car came in (it was one of the first one with HLSD) Nissan messed up and the sticker didn't have HLSD listed on it. They sent a new sticker to me later on
