Shift **** not coming off

I'm new, just bought a 2k SE acouple of days ago. hi all. heres my question. how do you get the shift **** (5spd) off?

turn it Anti-Clockwise.. get a vice grip or something.. or hit the weight room

Cover the **** with a rag/towel and use vice grips or a big wrench and turn counter clockwise.

I used the sink washing gloves (made of rubber) and got a good grip on it and turned. Let it get warm first if you can....the glue will break loose easier.

a vice grip didnt give me enough leverage, i had to use a tremendous plumbing vice grip. its a real ***** to get off.

put a towel around it and use a monkey wrench, thats what i used to get my shift **** off of my frontier and turn it counter clock wise
