Availability of 5th Gen Front Rotors

Is it just me or does it seem like the availability of 5th generation front rotors is poor. Companies that I have dealt with in the past over the internet (Jagworks.com, etc.) all have the Brembo rears in stock for less than $ 30.00/each (and free shipping for orders over $75.00), however, it seems like the fronts are no where to be found. I'm preparing to eliminate that infamous rotor warp that is slowly creeping up on me and I'm looking for good prices on Brembo fronts (no cross-drilling or slotting here).

because Stillen has been selling Brembo exclusively. Obviously they have some sort of agreement. You will find all the brembos are for 4th gens. Now that the 2k2 is out and Stillen is more Altima oriented, they will ease up and let Brembo blanks out for us 2k/1-ers.

I wonder why they group 4th gen and 5th gen front rotors together? Rear sure, but not fronts

Tim,

So Stillen has the exclusive on the 2000 and up Brembo fronts only? I can purchase 2000 + Brembo rears no problem (or are you saying that the rears are the same for the 4th and 5th Gens and that is why I can find those). That is wild if Stillen was able to tie up the entire Brembo line for our cars - but it definately appears that may be the case. Just for reference, I put Brembos all around on our other vehicle that suffered ongoing warp problems and Brembo definately cured the problem!

thats my understanding of the situation. I would *love* to be proved wrong and order some blank front brembos.

There's a thread going around in the GD section about rotors. Try check there. I think it mentions a dealer or something.

My problem is I am just looking for the plain-vanilla Brembo blanks - not interested in cross-drilled, slotted/cross-drilled, dimpled/slotted or any other combination. Just some good quality blanks that don't warp would suit me just fine!

Chris...problem solved, go to the web site for

Precision Brakes (precisionbrakes.com) and you will find DBA (Disk Brakes Australia) replacement rotors in both stock, slotted, cross-drilled and/or both slotted and CD's...much cheaper than Stillen, methinks.
Good luck
