i say GTR!

thats one nice car, i saw the auction page a few days ago. It's nice and everything, but wouldn't you rather buy a Skyline GTR R34 VSpec from motorex instead?

even the auction for "reserved spot" for 350z runs up to 14k....and on top of that, u still have to pay for the car (plus dealer's mark up).....u just buy the spot to have a z car.

well, #1 its a charity thing for Vin 000001. Has nothing to do with demand for the car really. Buying a spot is about 3-5K right now.

There is Performance Model one (silver/black) listed in the back of AutoWeek Magazine classifieds section with a delivery date of September 6th in Iowa. It is listed at just $34K.

Did you guys see the time stamps on each bid. The winning bidder dropped the winning bid eight seconds before the close...and look at the guy he was going back and forth with. Tight bidding.

What I read was that any price over MSRP WAS tax deductible, so essentially, he is going to have 60,000 deduction on his taxes. This car is an instant collector's item. VIN #1 of the first 350Z! However, you would never really be able to drive it due to the mileage considerations.

Where did ya read that? It says right on the page:

"Is the purchase of the #000001 VIN Z® car tax deductable?
No, the winning bid of the #000001 VIN Z® car is not tax deductable. Consult your tax specialist for details."
