stoptech brakes

ok i have just emailed stoptech to see if they'll be willing to build us a big brake kit.. stoptech brakes are not cheap tho.. i've heard alot of good things about htem, a few of my friends that drive audis like em' alot, and i see quite a few subaru wrx enthusiasts too have been choosing stoptech. has anyone heard anything about this company?? another company that i want to look into is baer, they're products seem real nice and their price has dropped alot from the past. i hope this goes well. i'm just doing this because i was hoping to see more brake options for our cars.. i know that precision brakes make a kit for us using the wilwood brakes as well as fastbrakes at a semi-affordable cost, and of course there's the stillen big brake kit.

There's also Brian Hasty at Fastbrakes...he's

been working on a big brake kit similar to the Precision Brakes kit...give him a call and tell him I directed u to him. His kit will use the Wilwood Superlite caliper in lieu of Precision Brakes's slightly smaller Dynalite caliper...better, IMHO -and right around a grand with the Wilwood two-piece rotors as well..

I've ridden in an a4 1.8T with StopTechs. it's rediculous how fast the car stops. It's a bit over kill for everyday driving IMO. But it's still very impressive for a $2k brake kit. 100-0 will give your neck rope burn!!!!!!

Found some info 4u

What timing...Just got my magazine from Car and Driver and they perfomed a test on (i think) four differnt brake kits of which included StopTech.

Car and Driver

Incidently, it was demo'd on a WRX.

~enjoy~

Re: Found some info 4u

i've got a buddy w/ these and he loves them. we're installing brembo caliper's on another friend's car today and they look the same as the stoptech's. just different sticker...at a lower price.

galo.. i knew that brian at fastbrakes made a kit for us, i think he was teh first to use wilwoods then precision came along.. i've stated that fastbrakes also makes big brake kits for our cars in the original post.. brian is for sure a really cool guy, i was going to purchase a set but he didn't want to sell em' to me just because he wasnt' sure if it would fit or not, as opposed to selling me somthing i cna't use.

guchi.. thanx alot for the link.. that's great reading material.
