Too much Zaino???? car's becoming invisible

Just a few pictures I took after another coat of Zaino Z5 yesterday. I know zaino isn't the only polish out there it's just the pictures look neat if you look at them and forget what your looking at. Kind looks like your looking through it
P.S. anyone water sanded their max yet

go to zaino pics at

No Zaino, but I've got about eight coats of Meguiar's Gold Medallion on mine!!

Yours looks good!

Been drooling over a high-speed Porter Cable buffer that Meguiar's offers, but can't afford it vs. buying mods right now!

I don't know much about Zaino -- what's it all about???
Been a Meguiar's user for five + years and Three Black cars later - hasn't done me wrong yet....

rntmax02, I don't know how much Meguiar's charge for there Porter Cable. But, you can get the Porter cable 7336SP from Lowes for about $100 and get velcro backing & pads from http://www.properautocare.com/ I also use Zaino, but the PC comes in great for swirl removal and polishing.

DANG!
Meguiar's is asking $225 for their version: shock:
Guess I'll have to re-think THAT purchase.

Thanks Marcus.....any thoughts on Zaino vs. Meguiar's products??

The initial shine of Zaino vs Megs is very comparable. But, what makes the Z great is that it will give than same shine & protection for a longer period than most.

Marcus:

Is Zaino synthetic at all???
The Meg's seems to wear-off within a month under heavy sun and washing -- always looking to improve.

Can I do a simple search to find info and where to buy???

Thanks.

Yeah Zaino & Klasse are both synthetics. They will give that just waxed shine for up to 6 months.

Check this site out for where all the **** detailers hang out.

Nick, hit your nearest Lowe's and you can get either a 7424 or a 7336 for $109.

The Meguiars Porter Cable is a dual action orbital buffer. I'll check out the Lowe's PC to see if it is a dual action orbital buffer.
My daughters bought the Meguiars Concours Kit for my birthday and it came with the PC. My waxing goes so fast now I feel guilty. I used to spending an entire weekend detailing the car now it takes about 5 hours.

I totally agree. Zaino Rocks. This weekend I did the Dawn, Clay Bar, Dawn, Z-2, Z-6, Z-2, Z-6. I have never seen a car of mine shine like that. I would recommend it to anyone that truly loves their car. Dang, My arm still hurts.

You can acheive a great shine by hand or by using the buffer but the buffer does about 85% of the work and is so much faster. It is a matter of personal choice. As you get older the buffer makes more and more sense. I am sold on the orbital buffer, w/o it I don't think my cars would look as good since I am 60 and run out of gas.

Most people apply Zaino by hand.

Q: Can I use an orbital polisher to apply/remove Zaino polish?

A: Yes, you can use an orbital to apply Zaino Z-2, Z-3, or Z-5. I don't recommend it because you waste too much polish that way. The pad on an eleven inch polisher can absorb almost enough polish to coat your entire vehicle. Each time you use an orbital to apply Zaino polish, you are probably wasting as much polish, if not more than you actually applied to the car.

Zaino polish applies easily by hand, especially if you dampen the aplicator pad with water and spritz it with Z-6 before applying it.

If you use an orbital to remove the residue, you should place a white, 100% cotton towel between the pad and the paint, and keep it turned and refolded often so that you are removing the residue with a clean section of towel all the time.
Straight off there FAQ page.

Here's my Zaino shopping list anyone got any suggestions as to how much ZFX I need to buy?

Z-1 Pre car polish look
Z-2 Car Polish for clear-coated paint
Z-5 Polish for swirl marks & fine scratches
Z-6 Ultra Clean "Gloss Enhancer" Spray
Z-7 Car Wash
Z-12 X3 Zaino Bros' Clear-View Glass Polish (I want my windows spotless )
Z-16 Tire cleaner
Z-18 Clay Bar
ZFX X3? Accelerator

Also how many applications can I get with the polishes I bought?

That's funny I have so much zaino on the car tht it is really heard to take pics of it and get the true color of the car. It rained here over a week strait and I think some of my layers of zaino are gone. I ran out of Z2 so I'm going to us my Z5. That just meand the cr will have more dept instead of reflection so I might get some pics that show the true color of the car.
