those with plated rotors..

I called iRotors and they have Brembos for 2k/1 front (schweeet!).

However, they dont cad plate. (or cyro, but thats not surprising really). I thought I really wanted cad plated. They say it will wear off and look worse, they suggest painting. I know from experience that paint wont last 18 months.

You guys with plating, hows it holding up?

OT, but are you also upgrading to SS lines, MOTUL, and better pads?

If so, would you mind borrowing my G-Tech Pro for some before/after tests? Just to put some "arguments" to rest.

how did you know that I *HATE* my Re92s? I dont have a grand for Pilots right now, especially after rotors and pads.

no plans on Motul and ss lines. I dont think I need the precise feel of ss lines.. and I dont think I would boil my fluid any time. I did warp my rotors up in the mountains tho. I had plenty of time to back off and cool them, but it was too late and I have a little shimmy.

I'm not sure I could do anything meaningful on RE92s. I actually thought my tranny was slipping again, turns out I was spinning the tires... road was alittle damp but flat and I was only at 1/2 throttle. How more people dont get hurt on those OEMs really amazes me.

These are by far the worst tires I have ever experienced. I put over 100 miles a day on these tires and let me tell you I'm glad were in a drought in NJ. Over the labor day weekend it rained and rained and the car slid, hydroplaned, and spun out constantly. I'm looking for 18's and new rubber for the coming winter season. Anyone with suggestions please help. I hope that these tires are not the cause of serious injury or damage. I know one must use caution when driving in inclement weather but really these tires are extremly hazardous IMO.

Who doesn't hate the RE92s for wet traction! However, the dry traction is PLENTY for me(easily take 50-55mph corners at 75-80+mph), but the ride quality SUCKS!!!

BTW, Khumos are only around $400....

I thought you were getting brake fade and that could also be the pads, right? So, your just going to install new OEM pads when you do the rotors?

I'd just like the G-Tech tests before/after each upgrade, such as lines/pads/fluid/rotors vs. stock and then vs. new rubber. It was just an idea, no biggie since I'll eventually do it anyways.

I have stillen x drilled rotors, pads, ss lines, and motul fluid. They are alot better, the only thing is that they need to be warmed up and used hard acouple times before they are at there best. They work really well at high speeds. Dont have a gtech, but I will see if I can find one to use. I have a question to people with x drilled rotors. When u are driving 30 to 40 mph+ with your windows down and u step on the brakes can u here a weird sound? Not a screaching, I really cant even explain it. I think its the noise from the out gassing but not sure, does anybody else now what I am talking about. Or do i need to lay of the crack pipe for awhile?

I plan on ceramic pads, so heating up shouldnt be as big an issue.

Are your pads shimmed properly?

it's the x-drilling in the rotor.... I get the same type of noise... like kind of a deep whirring....
