Overdrive Question????

How do I know if I have overdrive on my 2003 SE Max. It says it is optional and I am not sure if I have it or not...

huh?

In the automatic, 4th gear is overdrive.

On the 6spd, both 5th and 6th gear are "overdrive" gears.

On the automatic there should be a little button on the shift **** that will turn OD off. If you can turn OD off, it must mean that you have OD.

That website says that the "4-speed automatic w/overdrive" is optional. Not to be confused with "4-speed automatic, w/overdrive optional". As someone said before, in the 4-speed auto, the 4th gear is OD.

There's no button on 2K2s (I don't think there are any on 2K3s). If you have it in D, that lets it go to OD. If you have it in 3, it doesn't.

It's in the manual (page 5-10 of mine) and is used in the event you can't shift out of park while on the brake. Supposedly this can happen if the battery is dead or low.
