2004 6th. Generation Maxima

Does anyone have any solid(factual) information on the 2004 6th generation Maxima? Please, no flames, fake pictures or rehashed information. Went by my local dealership today and saw the 350Z(a real stunning beauty), saw a 2K3 SE, Titanium edition, Sheer Silver with Frost leather interior, a real beauty. After seeing the 2K3 Max, I'm seriously wondering if the next gen. Max is worth waiting for. That Sheer Silver Max was a real beauty, looked more like a Teutonic warrior than a Nissan.

I would imagine you'd get more info at a scoopage site, like freshalloy.com

There seems to be some good info regarding the mule that Brian got the shots of VS. what it will really be.

i was at my local dealership today, and one of the mgrs had passed around a polaroid of the new max...too bad he was not there when i was, but i am going back tomorrow to see if i can get a look. said it looks nothing like the photos that were taken in cali of the cloak and dagger altimaxinity??? or what ever that was. said it looks really nice...350z back end and alti style front and about the size of the q45...we'll see if there is any truth to this tomorrow.

I am not going to believe this stuff until Nissan releases information. What's taking them so long?! Maybe the next auto show?

There should be a price jack up on new maxima, the price overlap with new altima is not a feasible marketing stategy.

Or at least the Autopress. I haven't seen one thing in Motortrend, C&D, Autoweek, MotorWeek, Detroit News, Automotive News. Not that they haven't failed me before. But I really think one of them would have had something.

yeah, it doesn't make sense to keep the maxima at the same level as the alty, so it will probably be more like the q45, is what i'm getting at....

yes, i posted this so i can get emails when more info comes back

The split grill that was on the "spy shot" of the 2004 Maxima may not be off. This is a Renault trait and I hope they will get rid of that. I didn't wait for a 2004 because the 2003 is the right size for me and I can get a better deal out of it. I also think getting a car that is genuinely "Made in Japan" gives it a better value. The Titanium Package (standard in Canadian spec) looks awesome!

2003's were made in Smyrna, Tennessee

2002's were made in some place that starts with an OK--, Japan

So you have the American-made Japanese car.

That's the first thing I checked. Open up the hood and on the firewall with a silver label screwed on -- "Made in Japan".

I just read somewhere (Although I forget exactly where) that the 2004 maxima will make it's debut at the North American Auto Show in Detroit this January.
