Brake SQUeeeeeaaaal

Ok, just got brakes done, they replaced front pads, turned the rotors (fronts only) and checked the rears. Now the rears (I think the rears) are squealing like hell. Any suggestions?? Should I just spray the crap out of them with some water to remove brake dust?

Thanks...

You shouldnt have to listen to your brakes...I think that IF the rotors on the rear are ok, then you need new pads for the rear. Why not start with a whole new set? How many miles on the car?

Just my 2 cents worth

U should always get rotors turned or new rotors when u put new pads on, this is what I have always been told. Somebody correct me if I am wrong. As far as the squeaking, did u get it done by Nissan. Also were they OEM parts? If u got them done some were cheap that just means u got ****ty brakes and that is what they are going to sound like. To check to see if they are the back brakes take your back wheel off, take off one caliper and take out your pads and see if your pads are down to the little metal loop think. If it is that, then that is were your squeaking is coming from. That means its time for new back brakes. Be careful with the back pads when u put them back in ther is a liilte nub sticking out on the pad that goes on the inside of the caliper that seats in the brake. Rear brakes are wierd there is not actually a piston like the fronts. There is a round shaped piece of metal that has 4 grouves in it. That is were the nub sits. The bake brakes actually screw in and out to put presure on the pads. I don't know if I made any sense at all hope that helped, and its not as hard *** it sounds once u get it off u will see what i am talking about. Good luck

WELL...THEY CHECKED THE REARS...I CHECKED THEM TOO. THE PADS AND THE ROTORS ARE FINE. THEY ARE JUST SQUEALING LIKE CRAZY FOR SOME REASON.

My back brakes used to sqeak like crazy. As soon as the car moved they would sqeak, especially loud in reverse. I got them check at a local shop and they said that I needed new rotors for the front and back.. So I decided to look for myself. The back pads had about 1/16 in. of pad left, maybe less. I changed both front and rear pads myself and problem is fixed..
