Clean Injen??

I have the polished Injen on my 2k2. What do you recommend for cleaning it? There are fingerprints all over it from the install. I was thinking about using NEVR DULL but with all the knowledge on the board I know someone knows what is best.

Thanks for your help.

The finger prints can easily be removed with a damp towel or even glass cleaner.

If you want a good shine, you can even wax the pipe. Waxing just makes it easier to clean the dust off it next time since it makes it tougher for the dust to stick on it after the wax.

This might be a stupid question, but is it possible that the heat in the engine bay might make the wax melt and run?
I would think that a damp cloth would be the easiest/least messy way to get rid of fingerprints.

To polish any metal like that you should get a metal polish. Here are some good recs:

Weenol (Soft polish; great for polished metal and Chrome)
Blue Majic (Good soft polish as well)

Brasso (Polish, but a bit more rough on something like polished metal)

I use weenol. You should be able to pick up blue majic at a home depot or hardware store. Weenol is tougher to find, try a wheel shop.

The injen is plenty loud...loud enough for me anyhow.

As for the tube, I've noticed that it gets DARN hot after a few WOT runs. I'm hoping that tube is thick....the heat soaking on these max's is crazy. Can't wait to see what the paint on the hood looks like in 5 years (if it doesn't chip away to nothing first!)
