A question about the absorber.

I noticed that in one of the other threads that many of you praise the Absorber. I have had pretty good luck with it, but mine seems to collect soap or what appears to be soap and spread it all over my car. This has happened to 2 absorbers that I've bought. So what do you guys think is the solution to my problem?

Dixit, the absorber is a great drying cloth for your car

1Badmax, ive had that prob too ive got 3 of them make sure you rinse the car realy good before you start to dry it and rinse the absorber good before and after. that may help clear up a lil of the problem.

It's a foam like towel that is used to dry your car. It works great by leaving no streaks or sctratches in your car like towels sometimes can. But, mine seems to absorb soap from my car and then spread it all over my car. You can buy it at almost any Pep Boys or any other auto parts store. It cost about $8.00

Try rinsing the soap off your car before drying My absorber hasn't had any soap problems but I wash it after every car wash in the laundy machine to get rid of any dirt.

If it does that, great, let me get it.

Doing alright, just got the supercharger, planning on installing it this weekend. Trying to get everything in order to get it done.

Are you sure you are using the Absorber there are some other brands that are making absorber type cloths as well. Another reason why your absorber may be putting soap back on your car is because you are probably using too much soap and not enough water to dilute the soap.

I use to use the Water Blade. But now I just sheet the water of and use the Big Blue towels and some other ones I got from Microfiber Tech.

Keep a bucket with clean water, rinse and remove the excess water from the Absorber once in a while when drying the car. It should get rid of the soap trapped in the Absorber and any dirty in it too.

I first discovered it from this shop that tinted my windows. After tinting they gave it a good wash and busted out the absorber. They leave them in a clean bucket of water all the time. Of course you want to rinse it out real good prior to storing it there.

That's what I do and it works as good as new.

Dont use soap with the absorber. wash the car with a seperate rag with the soap, then rinse and dry the car with the absorber. The reason is the absorber holds everything it picks up.

do you wash it with detergent? ever noticed when you get into a hot tub with a recently washed bathing suit that the water gets really foamy? thats the detergent residue on your suit doing that. i would be worried that the absorber would also have some detergent stuck in it after washing it in the washing machine.

The absorber gets washed with the rest of the laundy (normally clothes, some towels used to apply Zaino Z6, tire gel, etc.) using tide liquid soap... It never has a soapy residue on it later when drying the car or when ringing it out.

In fact I think on the absorber bottle it says to wash it in normal laundy detergent on the warm setting but this is just off the top of my head / from memory.

The Super Absorber is the best drying tool I've ever used. The problem is not with the towel, it's with your rinsing technique. You're not getting all the soap off before you're drying. Try using sheeting action to get all the soap off.
