Clear corners

I know they're illegal, but has anyone been specifically stopped and ticketed for having clear corners on their car?

Yea I did about two months ago, but the cop just told me to put the other ones in and left, or it woulda been $180 fine...

I thought they weren't illegal as long as you had the amber/orange bulbs...just not those piaa/hiper white ones.

was this at night or during the day and what about if I put red bulbs in the rear? I am moving to Hayward, which I believe is where you're from, and was wondering how the cops are there.

It was at night and you most likely wont get pulled over for them if you have red bulbs. I didnt, but I dont really care, i dont like the stock look. Until I have to pay a fine, they are staying. Oh and BTW I'm from Phoenix!

This is what you do:

when you get stop tell the cop that you just purchased them and you have the amber in the trunk and you weren't sure about them being ilegal but you are more than happy to change them right on the spot!!! trust me they are going to like the idea and just keep in mind that you have to play dumb like you just got them an hour ago and the shop did not mention about being illegal.... i try that with my neons and it worked twice!!! lol good luck!!!

I wonder how they could be illegal for automobiles to have them yet when I bought my Y2K VW Golf it had them on their stock. As far as I know there only illegal when you don't have the amber and orange bulbs in there. But who knows I could be wrong.

Polarg Red bulbs

I bought some of the red Polarg bulbs for my rear sidemarkers because people have said that they dont' look pink like the others and match closely to the red of the tail lights. Well, I don't know where they got that from because i just put mine in today and they are PINK! Are there any bulbs that are RED??

Playero - I've done that twice and HAS worked, but I just dont want to run into the same cop...
1badmax - They arent illegal because your car had another orange reflector in the froint and a red in the back. So long as they are there, any other clears dont matter.
00MaxSE, the only red bulb you're gonna find are LEDS, which are like 10-12 bucks a set. They look good, but I have problems with mine after a few weeks, so it kinda sucks.
