Funny I never knew I had this feature.

I accidentally held on to my unlock button on the remote for couple of seconds and the front windows rolled down.

Read your manual people! If you look, your car can also activate your garage door opener.

You Really Suck...

This is a sore spot with me. 4th gen owners have this feature. 2002 owners have this feature. But NOOOOO, not us 2k owners. For some muth..fuc...reason, Nissan, in their infinite wisdom, decided that we don't deserve that feature.

Not fair.

Btw, I don't really think you suck. But, you having, and me not having that feature....sucks.

I like the feature, but don't like the feature. Last night my wife was playing with my keys, and asking me how the auto-rolldown worked, and pushing buttons, yadda yadda.. Well, I didn't think it would roll the windows down in my car from inside my apartment. I walk out the door this morning and my two front windows are rolled down..

I like it every other time but last night though..

with a aftermarket remote you can get an attachment that not only winds down ALL 4 windows.. it also winds them up too

Really? Where do you get such a remote? Do you know if it can open the sunroof too? I'm very interested. I get "window envy" when I see my friend do that in his Audi.

you'd need to buy an acuator or something for each of the windows and those arent cheap.

Why does mine do this ?

When i just push and hold the unlock button, the window goes down about 4 inches and stops, and if i push and hold it again they go all the way down. Anyone know why this is happening ? Even if i push the button once to unlock driver's side, then the second time to unlcok the rest of the doors and hold it on the second push it will only go down a few inches.

Any ideas besides going to the dealer ?

RTFM. It's described there. My son can consistently get the windows to roll all the way down, I usually have to do it in two steps. I *think* that if you unlock all doors, and hold down the button, the windows go all the way down.

i wouldnt swear by it but i think you may be wrong. the shop i worked for last summer used DEI alarms and i had this conversation with one of the techs. DEI alarms come with 2 actuators but if you want all 4 windows i think you have to purchase them seperately for about $60 a piece. but then again, i could be the one who is wrong. i dont remember the conversation very well.

but in the end it doesnt really matter all that much.

Did you know that your glove box also doubles as microwave oven. Nice for warming up cold pizza.

trunk is tripped by tapping a wire at the SECU, but a high current relay is still needed.. no actuators.

windows require a module that senses load. one for up, one for down, usually a module handles 2 windows each. runs ~$50. Basically it runs the motor until it sees the amperage increase and shuts off, like an auto switch in the door. If your windows start sticking/squeeking (as they are prone to do) sometimes the module sees this as load and stops the window. Also, will stop if obstructed.

I really really really really want this feature.. its hot in the south. But I saw a Viper 600 one time roll ALL the windows ALL the way down in an electral storm... watched them go down right after a lightning strike. I went over to the guys office, I thought he sat on his keys or something... nope, sitting on his desk. And they wouldnt go back up by remote (storm still punishing his car). He had to run out and use the door switches. Car was soaked, carpet ruined.. Other people have reported that too. I'd hate for that to happen...

btw, when its 115 outside, sometimes its nice to crack the windows BEFORE you get in a 140F degree the car.
