Can you keep the temperature gauge on?

On the 2000 Maxima SE... Is there anyway to keep the temperature reading on instead of just going on when you push it?

Yes, first stick one of those small thermometers to your driver's outside mirror. Then attach a little post-it note in front of the inside temperature plate and write in the current outside temperature with a pencil stored in your right ear. Update the reading with a new note whenever the outside temperature changes. Keep a flashlight handy for night readings.

Don't forget to adjust for the wind chill factor--

I think the formula is F-x/34 pi to the 4th

This is very irritating. Who comes up with these "features" anyway. I'd like to be a part of that focus group...

Another irritating feature I don't care for is the fact that the map light doesn't come on with the dome light when you open the doors. The dome light isn't bright enough on its own. Even nicer would be a switch so you could defeat the map light, for those that prefer it not come on.
