I need someone who knows a lot about the maxima engine

Hey,
I recently bought a Spec V and the car is powerful, but then I found out that the Maxima was about 260hp, the thing is that the Maxima is more of a family sports sedan, anyways the thing that im interested on is the Maxima' engine, I would like to know from a really expert uy if I would be able to put the engine from the Maxima into the Spec V. Would it be too big? would I have to buy a new tranny? a new ECU? Do they sell turbos for the Maxima? and finally what the max hp you've seen a Maxima push? I know it's a lot of ques? but I'm serious oh this kind of hybrid. Thanks a lot.

I doubt the max engine would fit since its a full liter bigger than your car but i may be wrong. A few people have turbos on their cars like y2kevse and when he dynos it in his new tranny I think he's hoping to be around 400whp.

If you like the max engine more, sell the spec V. max is way faster, but wont handle as good. But, if you a lot of $$$$ anything is possible. You want to go fast in the spec, pull out that 2.5 drop in the Sr20, and put a turbo on that. Many SE-Rs (91-97) can handle 400+ HP without opening up the motor
