Looking for fog light bulbs that match the HID's on the 2003

I hate that they do not look the same. Can anyone tell me if you can replace them with better bulbs so the lights match? And if you can where to get them and possibly how to install them? TY in advance.

Bulldawg....those look good! Pardon my ignorance, but I'm years beyond the modding scene, but would like to upgrade my fogs. Are those actual replacement fog lights or are they just bulbs. Is it easy to change, and approx how much are we talking about to upgrade. Thanks!

Piaa xtreme whites (55watt) is what bulb I used, and they are very close to the H.I.D. color on the Maxima.

Somewhat related... but I can't stand the lights on my '03. The standard HID lights are great, but you then have to deal with the crappy halogen "brights" and even worse fog lights. Wouldn't high-power fog and HID brights make more sense?

A plug for Greg...

http://www.custommaxima.com/ has the bulbs you are looking for. I have a set and they are the closest match I've seen. I'd also recommend spending the extra $10-12 and get the little 194 bulbs for the marker lights as well. This way the entire front lights (short of the high beams) will all match. You don't need to replace the high beams (unless you just want to blow some money) because you don't use them enough to matter. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if Polargs or Raybrigs have better lifespans than PIAAs? I've seen on this board that PIAAs don't last long.

As for the PIAAs on custommaxima.com, they the 4000K Xtreme Whites, right? I know PIAA also has 5000K Super Plasma H3s as well. Since the 2K2 HIDs are 4500K, would it be better to have fogs that are brighter or dimmer than the HIDs?

I've just installed the Xtreme White PIAA's, and honestly don't think they're quite as close to a match as I thought they would be. I also bought the wedge bulbs, and didn't care for they ricey blue color they throw off, so I ordered the Polarg wedge bulbs and like these much better. If anyone wants to buy my PIAA H3's, I'll cut a deal, while I find something that matches closer.

PIAA Plasma H3's are awsome. They have a nice HID color looking into them, but they actually hit the road with a Purple color.

I bought Eurolite from ebay.

Not recommended. The two don't even match to each other, let alone the HIDs.

Pieces of crap, but get what you pay for.

From what I hear, and pics I've seen, the PIAA Superplasma H3 matches the factory HIDs best.
I decided to go a little different, and got the PIAA Crystal Ion H3's instead, and I love the contrast.

just to clear things up..."super plasma" is whiter than "xtreme white"...right?

If so, why are people buying xtreme whites?

One last thing, Is Super Plasma really white without the blue? Anyone have pics? Thanks!

Some people were saying the super plasmas are closer to the HID look. Our HIDs supposedly burn at 4500K, the super plasmas burn around 5000K, and the Xtreme whites at 4150K.

Unfortunately, according to njmaxseltd,
They have a nice HID color looking into them, but they actually hit the road with a Purple color.

Plasma Blue is BLUE, Super Plasma GT is whitish blue.

Uhh-I think your wrong on our HID temp. From what i read they burn at 7500K, which is basically the min. that most HID's burn at (like Lexus, etc). 8000K you get more of a darker blue color (like BMW Mercedes, etc.) then when you get to 9000K, 10000K then you get to the purple like color. 4500K and so are just halogen temp. lights.

My HIDs are 4500K and they definitely don't look like halogens. The PIAA Super Plasma match my HIDs well, just like they match 2k2 HIDs.

Welcome to the boards smart guy. Did you read that on honduh.org? Check around before you shoot your mouth off. Everyone here says ours burn at 4500K .

Free shipping?? Did I miss that somewhere? That'd be an even better deal. I checked other sites, lowest price so far is $60 at www.autobulbdepot.com.

nooo...i meant before shipping costs. The shipping is $10 USPS. That's normal for these businesses. It would come out to $56 which is still a good deal if you look at ebay. On ebay they sell for around 55 plus the shipping. You don't have to have bid wars here...maybe thats why it's sold out at this website.

I had a bulb burn out on the last set I had so the store I bought them from, gave me a brand new set b/c it was under warranty. So, now I'm thinking of just putting real HID fogs. Thats why I'm selling this brand new pack

I was planning to get these. What is the mismatch? Are they bluer than the HIDs? I hope they don't look like the Xtreme white wedge bulb, which I installed too and like you I'm not fond of the blueish tint (I'll install them in the doors when I get a replacement). I wonder if the PIAA's Super White would be adequate...

The wedge bulbs do have too much of a blue tint. The fogs, are still quite yellow on the ground. I installed the PolarG wedge bulbs, and they're much closer. There's still a touch of blue when you look at them head on, but the light is close to the HID's. For as much as the H3's cost, I'm just going to live with it, but advise something different. The Super Whites should be more yellow according to their rating.

I also hated the fact that the bulbs didn't match. I got the polarg parking lights, PIAA extreme white fogs and high beams. The high beams aren't cheap, but they make a huge difference.
