Deven...interested in understanding how

you arrived at the spring compression rates for the Eibachs (lbs/inch of compression, I presume) & the Progress springs and if you have this data for the H&Rs as well...I'm thinking that this data would unequivocally answer the question of which of these three spring brands ride better...

Me too - also it would be able to tell us the difference between 4th gen springs and 5th gen (besides physical differences).

I smell a sticky here...

Some info you guys may be interested in. Sorry i don't have any spring rates about the H & R's , but i heard that they are softer than Eibachs, acording to the 4th gen forum..

The bottom line is, the 4th gen front is heavier than the 5th gen front, thus the spring rates are higher than that of the 5th gen onesm, but only certain brands.

4th gen Spring rate for progress.
front= 165lbs with a 1.7" drop
rear = 250lbs with a 1.5" drop
note. progress is selling this same spring for 5th gens too, but the rear is different for a 5th gen, but i don't know how they are doing that. check for yourself..they have the same part numbers.

4th gen Eibachs spring rates
front= 165/257 lbs----will work fine on a 5th gen= 1.5" drop

rear = 165/228 lbs ---too soft for a 5th gen= 1.3" drop

5th gen Eibachs spring rate
front= 139/188lbs 1.3" drop
rear= 194/295lbs 1.0" drop

This picture is was taken today. Noticed the 2 fingers on front and rear. My car is level right now . I have 5th gen Eibachs stached away , that i will use on my car whenever the REAL 5th gen AGX comes out, but for now this setup is fine. I got my own tools now, so doing this anytime is a peice of cake to me now.

rear = 1.5 drop

front = 1.5 drop, but seems a little higher, until spring fully settled.
