Me and my 2K2 6spd vs. the '01 Lexus ES300 with Temp tags...(extremely long post)

I just dropped off my buddy at his apartment at 2:30am after an evening of clubbing, sure, I had a few, but I am in no way drunk. I was kind of bumming because the wife and kid are outta town, and I've been out all day in my Max, and noone's challenged me.

So, there I was merging onto the freeway, no other cars out there at this time of night. Then from out of nowhere, a car flies past! I estimate he's going at least a 100mph. I look down, and I am about at 75, so I downshift to fourth to see if I could catch up before my exit, which was the next one. I fly past him at about 90, then back off, just to see what he was gonna do. Sure enough, he punches it, I again drop it to 4th and floor it. He's, right there on my bumper, my tach nears 6500, I shift to 5th. It's over, I walk away from him. Just for giggles, I take the opportunity to really rub it in (plus, I wanted to see how fast I could go), so I held on. At 135mph and climbing, I shifted to 6th. The VQ was simply purring at this point. Needless to say, I passed my exit several miles back at this point, so I need to change freeways and come in the back way, so I slow down to take a wide sweeping righthand exit ramp. At this point we've gone a couple miles. I see this Lexus, still coming, but I figure, game over. He goes past me at about 100, tries to take the turn...

His drivers side slips to the left shoulder, into the marbles...the car begins to drift. I brake, at this point, I had slowed to about 75 because I ain't stupid, there's a turn coming up. Anyway, next thing I know, the Lexus ES300, is completely sideways (passenger side to me) in front of me, spinning out of control. He, over compensates, and spins back around and BAM! The '01 Lexus ES300 with the temporary tags, nails the guardrail and spins back around. By now, I am a couple hundred feet back and going about 30mph, contemplating on whether or not I should stop. This guy could be really ****ed off that he got beat by me, and lost control of his ride, so I decide I am not stopping. Especially, since I didn't have anything to do with his loss of control. You'll never guess what happens next....The guy spins back around, and nails it again! Now I know, from his impact, he's gotta have some hood, fender and probably radiator damage, but there he goes. I proceed down the ramp in haste to catch up with him. As I pass him again, I hold up my index finger as to say, No, no, no. I then get off at the next exit, and see him slowly go past on the freeway at about 60mph. I wish I could have seen his/her face through their tint. I am sure it was priceless. At least his airbags didn't go off, and he wasn't hurt.

If you're gonna play boys and girls, you MUST know your and your car's limitations! I don't condone racing, but I know we all do it. Please everyone, know your limits.

Another one falls to the mighty VQ3.5.

that's scary dude. knowing your car's limitations still doesn't justify the fact that street racings highly unsafe. granted it was an empty freeway, but what if...what if the guy had slammed into the concrete median and died on impact (God forbid, but these things happen) would you have been able to live with yourself? after all, he might have been a wet-behind-the-ear 17 year old trying to catch up with a max....play it safe.....as they say, abstinence is the best preventive.

well, happy belated birthday!

it's because you don't live in NJ..lucky kid. To make it worse, I don't get my FULLY UNRESTRICTED LICENSE until I am 18. This 17 Year Old License has some restrictions on it, but at least my parents won't have to be with me anymore.

I ran up to him so fast, that he had slowed down. He must've thought I was a cop or something. Anyway, once I went passed, he punched it, and well, you know what happened then.

I checked out the guard rail this morning, it is pushed back a little, and has about 30 feet of dark red paint on it.

I am just glad he didn't get hurt. You just gotta accept defeat gracefully.
