I am thinking may be a 2k2/2k3 max 6spd will be better than a 97 540i. I am looking for a blk/blk SE with 6spd tranny. Any suggestions please?

3000 dollars off the sticker price and with a low APR rate(.9%) for 2k3. even cheaper for 2k2. assuming all loaded with no nav.
4000 dollars off the sticker price if pay full. anyone disagree?

i recently bought a 2k3 blk/blk SE 6-speed with only options being HLSD and Moonroof, and the floor mat and splash guard ****. i got the car for $24,500 before tax and the other **** they tack on. dont look foward to a super low apr, i got mine for a 39 month lease with 3% apr, and that was during their september sales thing. but good luck

You really should have no trouble picking one up well below invoice and a great apr. They are at the end of the model line and that is a powerful bargaining tool. A lot of people are awaiting the next generation. You can pick up a hell of a car with the 02-03 at rock bottom prices

You should really think this one through. A 97 540i vs. a 2k2/2k3 Maxima. Yes you might be paying the same price for a used car for the price of a new one, but the quality of the Bimmer, the higher scale interior material and the great handling is something to be considered. The only drawback about the BMW is the warranty might be up on a 97 so anything goes wrong you would have to pay out of pocket. My wife wanted a 540 but I wanted a Max. There is not a day that goes by that I don't regret my choice, "think about it". To answer your question you should be paying 24-26k for a fully loaded 2k2/2k3 SE, add another 1k for the GLE.

Just bought a 2003 Max SE, with everything except Nav.
Sticker was something like $30472. I paid 26850 + tax + reg.
That was the end of September and included a 500 cash back deal and 4.9% financing for 60 months.
